Many people never know where to begin when hiring a contractor. How do you know if you are hiring a quality contractor? You may have heard some horror stories when hiring the wrong type of contractor.

Here are some of the questions you should ask your contractor to qualify him as licensed and quality contractor:

1) Do you have a Current Class “A” Contractor’s License?

2) Do you have a Current Business License?

3) Does your company have liability insurance and workers compensation?

4) Does your company offer a warranty?

5) Are you a member of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry)?

6) Are you a Certified Remodeler through NARI?

7) Is your company a member of the Better Business Bureau?

8) Do you have references from past clients?

Rendon Remodeling & Design, LLC is a Class “A” licensed contractor with a current business license and is willing to show proof of liability insurance and workers compensation. Rendon Remodeling does offer a warranty package and is a member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). The President/Owner, Fred Rendon, is a Certified Remodeler through NARI. Rendon Remodeling & Design is a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and is proud to be in great standing with the BBB.

It is extremely important to research the company before you hire them for your project. It is not always the smartest to go with the lowest bidder in this industry, as some homeowners have found out. Budget is usually very important to the homeowner, but it is even more important that you invest your money in a quality contractor to get the results that you deserve and will enjoy for years to come.

Rendon Remodeling & Design encourages the homeowner to call our past clients and find out what type of company we are. We are a family owned and operated business, extremely customer service driven, and take pride in what we do.

So be sure to do your homerworker, and remember, the cheapest bid may not always be your best option, and could possibly be one you may regret in the future.
