Michael

Owner / CEO

Michael is co-owner of the company and oversees the sales and design departments. With over 18 years of hands-on experience, he collaborates directly with clients from their initial meeting through the design phase.

Michael holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1999 to 2003. Drawing from his Marine training, he infuses our company with unwavering discipline and professionalism.

Michael possesses a profound passion for continuous learning in the remodeling sector, ensuring he consistently delivers exceptional value to our clientele. Among his many achievements, Michael has earned esteemed certifications from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, such as the Certified Remodeler, Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler, Green Certified Professional, and, most recently, the Universal Design Certified Professional designation.

Away from his professional endeavors, Michael cherishes family time with his wife and two children. He’s an enthusiast for staying active and is always on the lookout for the next great adventure!

Joseph

Owner / COO

As the Project Manager, Joseph works closely with our clients and team members to ensure every remodeling project is developed with quality and a seamless scheduling approach from the start of each project to its completion.

He received his MBA from Radford University in May 2007 and successfully completed the Certified Remodeler (CR) requirements through the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. Going from high school to college, Joseph knew he wanted to work with his father (and eventually take over ownership) once he completed his degree. During his high school and college breaks, he learned carpentry skills while working in the remodeling industry. He regularly attends local and national trainings to stay ahead of changes in the building codes, materials, and industry trends.

During his free time, Joseph loves spending time with his wife, three young children, and their dog. He also loves sports––particularly golf. With three children under age four, his golf time is limited, but he will soon take his boys on the course with him!

Amy Bryan

Design Consultant

Amy Bryan is a Design Consultant with more than 11 years of professional experience. After graduating with a degree in Design from the University of Florida’s School of Architecture, she worked for five years in commercial and office design. A previous client of Rendon Remodeling & Design, she joined the Rendon team in 2013 because of her passion for transforming homes, not only in improving the aesthetic but developing functionality and space management to improve the lives of her clients. As the proud mother of two girls, Amy knows how important home design is for a family’s lifestyle. Amy’s role is to personally walk clients through the entire design process to make sure the design outcome fits their and their family’s goals.

If Amy is not currently designing your dream home, you can often find her playing tennis, dining out, spending time with her family, or relaxing and watching HGTV.

Beth Tecala

Project Coordinator

Beth Tecala is the Project Coordinator for Rendon Remodeling & Design. She has over 14 years of professional experience working on Capitol Hill and for a large telecommunications company. Beth is a previous client of Rendon Remodeling & Design and joined our team in 2020 after spending many years as a stay-at-home mom with her 3 children. When she was ready to return to the workforce, Rendon Remodeling & Design was the first company she contacted because she appreciated their excellent work and the employees’ friendliness and honesty. Beth uses her organizational skills to provide daily support to our team. She is the liaison with our marketing company and contributes ideas for Social Media posts and editing support. She communicates with clients throughout the Design-Build process, from the initial phone call to sending a Gift Basket when a project is finished.

In her free time, Beth likes to exercise, scrapbook, spend time with her family and friends, and snuggle with her Goldendoodle Maizy.

Curt Willhoite

Curt Willhoite has worked as a carpenter for 47 years. His passion for carpentry and redesign stemmed from the work he did with his father as a young boy. That passion continued to grow because he realized his love of working with his hands and watching design projects start as an idea and come to fruition as a customer’s dream home. He is proud of the work of Rendon Remodeling & Design because they demand excellence from all their projects. The standards are high—and they constantly perform. Curt also thrives as a member of the team. He loves how the Rendons treat all members of the team as family.

When Curt is not deep in a hands-on building project, he loves to travel, spend time with his family and dogs, and try new restaurants. Oh, and Curt will always jump at the opportunity to go to a Nats game.

Jose Corro

Jose Corro is a carpenter originally from La Paz, Bolivia. After working for several years in commercial construction, he made the switch to work in the remodeling industry more than 15 years ago. Jose has a passion for working directly with customers and developing interpersonal connections instead of just being in a buyer/seller relationship. Jose is excited about the work he does every day because he sees every house as different and having its own personality. He is motivated by the challenge of blending the exciting new with the good of what already exists within a home.

In the midst of a lot of hard work, Jose is 100% dedicated to his family. When he is not on the job, he loves going on trips to new places with his wife and two children.

Will Herrera

Will Herrera is a painter and carpenter for the Rendon Remodeling & Design team with more than 20 years of experience. After growing up along the beautiful coasts of Lima, Peru, he moved to New Jersey, where he worked for a drywall company. He then went on to become a painter for companies in Maryland and Virginia. Will credits his painting and drywall experience as crucial components of his experience and knowledge in the remodeling industry because he can contribute to all steps of the remodeling process. Will is passionate about his work for the Rendon team because he has watched the company’s growth as a result of their uncompromising dedication to their clients. Will’s favorite part of the job is the personal touch they leave in every project.

In Will’s personal life, he makes it a point to travel every year with his family. However, he also values his everyday relaxation time at home. At the end of a day at work, you can find Will watching movies, listening to music, and helping his children with math homework.

Leo Gunawan

Leo is an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking, kayaking, and photography—especially capturing fall family portraits. Originally from Indonesia, he’s called Virginia home for over 25 years.

He is a proud husband, dad, and parrot owner, keeping life lively and full of energy!

With over two decades in the field, Leo is passionate about his work and always eager to learn.

Rendon feels like family—it’s a place that keeps him motivated, supported, and excited to deliver top-quality results every day.

Alexander Cristobal

Alex is our dedicated carpenter extraordinaire! Alex infuses every project with precision and dedication.

His keen eye for detail ensures perfection with every project. Outside of work, you’ll find Alex on the soccer field or cherishing moments with his loving family – his wife and three wonderful children.

George Mayaba

George is a carpenter apprentice who assists the lead carpenters in all facets of our jobs. George is a vital part of the team to ensure support to the field team and customer satisfaction.

He has over 11 years of experience from handyman work to landscaping, remodeling, roofing and paving.

In George’s free time, he enjoys spending time with family, cooking, watching movies, shopping, listening to music, going to the gym, and enjoying life.
