Customer loyalty is an unparalleled value in the world of remodeling and construction. There’s really nothing else that can compare to the trust and confidence our clients have in our ability to grasp their vision and bring it to life!

Project Background

Recently, we worked on a project for a recurring client of ours who desired a master bedroom suite over their attached garage. Mind you, this was our third project for this client in the span of a single decade!

The last project we did for this client was in the kitchen, wherein we created a small addition, opened up the layout of the kitchen, and ultimately, created a much more functional space.

The irony of this past project is that our client stated they were not planning to stay in their home prior to the kitchen project. However, after the kitchen project, they called us up and said they loved their new kitchen so much that they decided to stay and wanted to add to the size of their master bedroom/bathroom.

We were over-the-moon excited that our work persuaded our clients to stay in their beautiful home and were more than ready to get to work on their newest request: a spacious master bedroom suite.

The Process

With the goal of creating a luxurious, larger master bed/bath, many different floor plans were considered. We wanted to achieve optimal space in the bedroom, a conservatively spacious bathroom, and overall, a cohesive blend architecturally in regard to the rest of the house.

The Master Bedroom

When it was time to design the master bedroom, the existing space was abundant. Our only challenge was to incorporate the following features our client desired: ample closet space, superior master bath equipped with double sinks, sizable shower, and free-standing tub.

We were successful in providing our client with the substantial space they desired in the master bedroom, as well as the large closet space. We were even able to incorporate a cozy sitting, reading nook area that doubled as an office space during the pandemic.

The beautiful hardwood floor and luminous lighting were the finishing effects that brought the entire space together.

The Master Bathroom

As far as the master bathroom goes, our client desired a light and bright overall ambiance with a touch of European flair in the cabinetry. We included a mix of marble throughout the entire space to compliment the marble-like porcelain tile, as well as a free-standing tub on a pedestal they desired. The result was not only a spacious and functional bathroom, but a space they could truly relax and enjoy for years to come.

Enhanced Curb Appeal

In addition to the master bed/bath, a full exterior renovation was included in the way of new sloping rooflines, hand-crafted wood shutters, and a cupola.

To accomplish this, the garage had to be extended towards the front slightly to create an elegant gable roof and roof overhang over the garage door.

Not only was this practical, but it enhanced the appearance of the addition.

The additional gable dormers on the existing roof, covered front patio over the front door, masonry patio at the front, new siding and shutters, and painted brick exterior enhanced the curb appeal of the home and radiated the style of Virginia that our clients were looking for.

A Beautiful Finish

The transformed master bedroom and bathroom is now a spacious, functional, and bright atmosphere that enhances the practicality of our client’s home.

The exterior work that was done on the house absolutely transformed the home into a fresh and elegant statement to their neighbors that says, “We are Virginia.”
